The University of Nottingham is offering an award of one full Tuition
Fee Scholarship for a new international student registering on a
research degree programme in the School of Mathematical Sciences at The
University of Nottingham from September 2008. The scholarship is for
each year of a PhD or MPhil research programme, subject to satisfactory
progress.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, students must:
* have an upper second honours degree in a mathematics or
mathematics-related subject, or its equivalent
* be holding a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a
full-time research degree programme in the School of Mathematical
Sciences at the University of Nottingham to commence studies from
September 2008
* be classified as an ‘overseas’ student for fee purposes.

Warwick Business School
The Operational Research and Management Sciences group of Warwick Business School is pleased to announce one PhD bursary in Operational Research worth up to £12,000 per year, for a period of three years. This is open to both EU and overseas candidates and is intended to contribute to fees and living expenses. Candidates commencing their study in any area of OR in autumn 2008 are eligible to apply. The group’s interests and potential areas of supervision include both hard and soft OR methods and models such as optimization, simulation, decision and efficiency analysis, soft and strategic OR. The deadline for applications for the bursary is 10 March 2008. There is no separate form to complete. All candidates should apply before the above deadline in a normal fashion for a place on the doctoral programme at Warwick Business School.
