PhD research scholarship opportunities exist in the School of Geosciences, Monash University for dedicated, well-motivated and enthusiastic students. The School of Geosciences is located at the Clayton Campus of Monash University and is renowned for its high standards in teaching and research. As a member of the Victorian Institute of Earth and Planetary Sciences (VIEPS), an extensive range of analytical facilities, for work with stable and radiogenic isotopes, major and trace elements, electron microprobe, SEM, fluid inclusions, and computer modelling laboratories is available to postgraduate students of the School.

There is the potential for Scholarships to be taken up at any time during the year.

Successful applicants will typically hold a degree based on at least 4 years of study, including a significant research project component, and have First Class Honours or MSc qualifications or their equivalent. Relevant additional research experience and/or research publications in international journals will provide strong support for scholarship applications. Applicants for whom English is not first language, or who have not undertaken their degree studies with English as the language of instruction, must attain a satisfactory English language test score (TOEFL or IELTS) before the scholarships allocation in early December.
