Sampoerna Foundation National Graduate in Management Scholarship 2008 Intake

The Sampoerna Foundation National Graduate in Management Scholarship Program is a mean to groom Indonesia’s future business leaders. Sampoerna Foundation provides a full scholarship package to a maximum of 10 (ten) outstanding young Indonesians who demonstrate excellent academic, professional, personal and leadership qualities to pursue Magister Management or Master of Business Administration degree at leading business schools in Indonesia as recommended by Sampoerna Foundation.
CONDITIONS OF AWARD
The information contained in this document is intended for the Sampoerna Foundation National Graduate in Management Scholarship Program, pertinent to the 2007 intake only.
Basic Eligibility
Applicant must satisfy ALL of the following conditions:
a. Indonesian citizen.
b. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an Indonesian tertiary institution with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale).
c. Under 30 years of age when lodging the application.
d. Have a minimum of two-year full-time professional work experience after the completion of their undergraduate degree when lodging the application.
e. Have valid proof (validity of two years) of an Institutional TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 (paper based)
f. Have valid proof (validity of two years) of an Academic Potential Test (TPA) with a minimum score of 550.
g. Not currently enrolled in graduate or post-graduate program or school, or has already obtained a Master’s degree or equivalent.
h. Not enrolled or graduated from an overseas tertiary institution unless was on a full scholarship.
i. Not in receipt of another equivalent award or scholarship offering similar or other benefits at the time of the award.
j. Demonstrate they are from financially disadvantaged family and that without the scholarship he/she will not be able to study for a graduate degree.
Any applicant proves to have forged information in his/her application form or any of the documents attached therein will be immediately disqualified.
Further Requirements
a. Scholarships are only available to those who wish to study for a Master degree in Management (MM or MBA) at leading Indonesian business schools recommended by Sampoerna Foundation.
b. Demonstrate leadership potential.
c. Demonstrate interest in and commitment to community and national development.
d. Attend all stages of selection process conducted by Sampoerna Foundation and the examinations conducted by the recommended university(ies).
e. Comply with the application for scholarship rules and regulations as stipulated by Sampoerna Foundation, partner institution for each respective program, and the university.
Nature of award
a. The scholarship is worth approximately IDR 80,000,000.- to IDR 125,000,000.- per student, depending on the city and university, for the duration of study. This covers the following:

University application fee, where the applicant is accepted at;

TOEFL and TPA reimbursement, one time only, based on original invoice, for the tests that are taken no more than 6 months prior to the scholarship application;

Tuition fees, for the duration of study;

Living allowance, to support living costs during period of study;
*
Literature allowance, to purchase textbooks required for study;
*
Internet allowance, to enable scholar to access internet for study purposes;
*
Research allowance, to finance final-year research study.
b. The scholarship is intended for full-time / regular class study only.
c. Scholarship recipient is not permitted to undertake any form of employment at any time during the course of study, unless to fulfil requirements from universities or in the form of internship.
General Procedures
Interested applicants who meet the requirements should complete the application form, along with the necessary supporting documents and personal statement, in one package, by deadlines, to Sampoerna Foundation Office:

When you submit the application package, please write the name of the program and designated city of study you would like to apply at the top right hand corner of the envelope.
When applicable, the supporting documents must be certified by university (for school transcripts), public notary or other relevant authorized parties / individuals as true copy of the original. Please do not send any original documents. Sampoerna Foundation will not be responsible for handling and returning original documents, but does reserve the right to request the provision of original documents if necessary.
